Franklin County Real Estate

Franklin County is located in the Northwestern part of Vermont and borders Canada.  Known as the "Northern Treasure" of Vermont, several of the towns are located on Lake Champlain.  The County is filled with wonderful outdoor activities, particularly boating and swimming activities on Lake Champlain. Franklin County is also Vermont's largest producer of dairy and maple syrup products.   In addition to agriculture, the County also has many large non-agricultural employers including name brands like Ben & Jerry's, Comet Confectionery and Fonda Group. The largest town in the County is Saint Albans, which boasts much of the retail activity in the County.  Saint Albans also hosts the County's annual Maple Festival, which showcases the maple producers that help make up the fabric of this great community.
